About Schoonkantoor.nl
Cleaning is our profession. And yes, you can be proud of that. Since 1990, we have been ensuring clean offices, schools, shops, and other places where people work and live.
We operate in the central Netherlands and work from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Arnhem. With around 300 colleagues, we put the right people in the right place every day. We work hard, help each other, and have fun because you work better when you enjoy yourself.
Sustainable working practices are second nature to us. This is reflected not only in our use of environmentally friendly products and smart materials, but above all in how we treat people. Our people make the difference. Every single day. We invest in good working conditions, development, and job satisfaction. It is no coincidence that we are regarded as the most sustainable cleaning company in the Netherlands. Good for now, good for later.
We expect our managers to understand what the work is really like. Not from a distance, but from practical experience. Those who manage our staff know what is going on in the workplace and are also present there.
We strongly believe in growing from practical experience. Many of our managers started out on location themselves. At our company, you learn leadership by doing, by guiding people and showing responsibility, not just by talking about it.
Initiative is recognized. Ambition is rewarded.
This is not an office job. This is about working together, contributing ideas, and growing together.
You know the ropes. Either you’re already working in the field, or you come from another operational environment where leadership and a hands-on approach go hand in hand. Site manager, foreman, ambitious cleaning employee? Great. Do you see a move to the dynamic world of cleaning as a challenge? Then you’re just as welcome.
As Assistant Area Manager, you will mainly work on location. You will be among the people, helping out where necessary and ensuring that the work is done properly. No two days are the same. Are we looking for someone who manages from the sidelines? No. Are we looking for someone who takes responsibility, is visible on the work floor, and wants to grow? Absolutely.
The distribution is clear and fair:
- Approximately 80% of your time will be spent working with and supporting teams on site.
- Approximately 20% of your time is spent organizing, managing, and coordinating.
You contribute, think ahead, and learn the trade in practice. We provide guidance and growth; you bring commitment, perspective, and the right mindset.
Practical. Visible. Impactful.
